Health Law / Medical Malpractice
We have represented the interests of health care providers, health care institutions and blood banks, including the insureds of the Texas Medical Liability Trust (TMLT), the Texas Medical Insurance Company (TMIC), the Texas Medical Liability Insurance Underwriting Association (JUA) and the Community Blood Centers’ Exchange (BCx), among others. Our litigators have experience in providing defense to hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, assisted living facilities, blood banks, professional associations, physicians (of numerous specialty areas), and nurses. We have handled complex multi-party cases involving allegations of personal injury, health care liability (malpractice), negligence, gross negligence, malicious medical staff credentialing, wrongful death actions and survival actions, among others. Our work for our health care clients spans not only the trial court level, but also the appellate court level including interlocutory appeals related to Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code Chapter 74 expert reports. Our health law practice affords us additional opportunity to work with clients needing representation before the Texas Medical Board and the Texas Board of Nursing or needing analysis of particular statutes/regulations as they apply to direct patient care.
