Throughout its existence, WattBeckworth has represented media defendants including community newspapers, nationwide print media, and network television affiliates in first amendment matters, pre-publication advising, and litigation. We also have experience in business negotiation and litigation involving the media industry, including insurance coverage and infrastructure negotiations. As counsel of record, the firm has sued and defended individuals and business clients in defamation litigation and in numerous cases in which claims include theft of trade secrets, appropriation of confidential information, and business disparagement.
